OUR 3 WEIGHT SENSORS

BEESCALE 4 CONNECTED SCALES
A RANGE OF 3 WEIGHT SENSORS

The ECO weight sensor of the BEESCALE4 range meets the majority of the needs of beekeepers. And its quality/price ratio remains unmatched in the world of connected hive scales.

Nevertheless, in order to meet our customers' demands, we have developed two other more specific weight sensors:
- the weight sensor model SCIENCE which allows to weigh with a precision of 30gr. This load cell also includes an anti-storm function.
- the weighing pallets INDUS which can be transhipped without any hive manipulation. These weight sensors in the form of a pallet are developed at the request of the customer.
You will find in this page many details about these three products.

All of these weight sensors are interchangeable and suitable for all of our connected hive scale lines.

BEESCALE4 CONNECTED SCALES
"ECO" ALL PURPOSE LOAD CELL

Beescale4 BS4R connected beehive scale - ultra compact on wooden pallet
4 hives with ECO weight sensors

The ECO weight sensor is the most sold. It already equips more than 4000 hives all over Europe. Very economical, it is used by a wide variety of hobby and professional beekeepers.

This load cell is designed from a standard scale (150Kg range) for which all the electronics have been replaced and sealed. This scale must be used sandwiched between two very hard surfaces. We advise to put it between 2 ceramic tiles.

This sensor is entirely assembled, wired and tested by a team from an EOVI ESAT. These people work with a great application and a constant quality.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS OF THE ECO PESON

ABOUT PRECISION

We have set up a test bench comparing the measurement of ECO weight sensors with a Class C3 (Science) reference sensor.

Precision on a day

If we zoom in from 50 to 60 kg, we can see that the 2 curves do not overlap exactly. The ECO measurement (BS4X) deviates from the reference curve (XS4X) with variations ranging from 200 to 300gr during the day. This deviation is essentially due to the expansion of the metal of the sensors caused by the variations of outside temperature.

Accuracy over a 3-week interval

Over a period of 3 weeks, the estimated weight variation is just 200gr up or down. The weights do not drift even over a very long period.

Precision on a 30Kg honeyflow

For a honeyflow of 30 kg, a variation of 200 gr corresponds to an estimation of less than 1%. This precision is more than sufficient for the follow-up of hives in honey production.

The ECO sensor has been tested!

BEESCALE4 CONNECTED SCALES
PRECISION WEIGHT SENSOR "SCIENCE

The SCIENCE load cell was developed 2 years ago to meet the demands of more demanding projects in terms of accuracy. Entirely made of aluminium, it is equipped with a 150Kg load cell (Max 200kg) with an accuracy of 30gr (Class C3 ZEMIC load cell compensated in temperature - See datasheet). The cables are protected by metal sheaths and everything is waterproof. The analog-digital conversion is done as close as possible to the scale to avoid cable length compensation.

This scale is intended for people who want to make precise measurements for study projects related to bees. The aluminum plates can easily be customized (easy drilling). Everything can be strapped or screwed to avoid hive falls due to wind (while keeping the weight measurement active)

This load cell can be used in combination with the load cells of the ECO range.

AUTONOMOUS CUSTOM PALLET "INDUS

Connected beehive scales - INDUS weight sensors - Bassigny beehive scale
BS4R INDUS 2X hive scale on Bassigny pallet

The INDUS weight sensor is our custom-made all-metal offer for the most demanding beekeepers. We start from the customer's specifications and offer a product that is exactly adapted to the needs of the farm. The scales are ultra-hardened and are resistant to all conditions even after many years of use. The INDUS range is equipped with 150Kg (Max 200kg) load cells with an accuracy of 30gr.

This range is intended for professional and transhumant beekeepers working in teams in farms using load equipment.

On quotation for 2 to 4 connected hives based on the customer's specifications.

Two pallet weighers (weight sensor) realized to date:
- FOR BASSIGNY PALLET
- TRANSHUMABLE SELF-RELEASING PALLET

FOR PALLET BASSIGNY

Connected beehive scales - INDUS weight sensors - Bassigny beehive scale
INDUS custom made hive scale for Bassigny pallet

MS4R INDUS 2X - FOR BASSIGNY STAND
In this version, the connected hive scale is attached to a P2M Bassigny stand. Wooden cleats must be placed under the hives to ensure weighing. Before transhumance the pegs are removed and the whole unit can be strapped to the load.

Advantages:
- fits perfectly into the Bassigny system (fixed by collar)
- very low additional height (4cm)
- transhumable with a machine (loader crane)

Disadvantage
- requires lifting (by half side) the hive to put in place and remove the wooden cleats that will ensure the load

AUTONOMOUS TRANSHUMANCE PALLET

Connected scales for beehives - INDUS load cells - Transhumable pallet
INDUS beehive scale - stand-alone transhumance pallet

MS4R INDUS 2X - TRANSHUMABLE SELF-CONTAINING PALLET
In this version, the connected beehive scale is a self-contained all-metal pallet for 2 hives. It can be transhipped very quickly without any disassembly and the whole unit can be strapped on the load.

Advantages:
- stand-alone system that can be placed on the ground
- transhumance without dismantling

Disadvantage
- handling with a machine (weight about 40kg)
